Helping Heroes, Inc. and Helping Heroes Productions specializes in media communications, marketing, public relations, grant writing, website & logo design, event production and entertainment representation. We bring years of expertise, creativity, and a winning record of accomplishment in grant writing and income development. 

We have been providing program development, services, and communications to individuals, non-profit organizations and corporations throughout the country including clients in Los Angeles, Portland, Florida, Texas, and Washington.  

Let us introduce ourselves to you... 

Michelle A. Bart - Owner / President

Michelle Bart was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and had lived in Los Angeles County over fifteen years. Known to many in Southern California as the founder of the Foothill Arthritis Connection, Michelle has over 20 years experience in event production, fundraising, non-profit management, and media communications.  Michelle holds a communication’s degree and has applied her education and expertise to helping businesses and organizations obtain visibility through the media, community relations, and the Internet. Michelle’s talents, creativity, and an eye for detail have captured the attention of community leaders, politicians, and the Hollywood elite throughout the United States.

Michelle served as the District 1 Secretary of Soroptimist International Desert Coast Region and website coordinator, she has served on the business development committee with the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce, has sat on numerous boards of directors including the American Cancer Society and Soroptimist, has been an Ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation and continues to keep busy contributing to Human Rights Campaign, Soroptimist International Southwest Washington and GLAAD. 

Currently Michelle is the co-chair of the Northwest Region Human Trafficking Conference, Soroptimist International Northwest Region District 2 Public Awareness Coordinator, and is the National Chairperson for the National Vigil For Hope. 

When given an opportunity to relax, Michelle likes to escape to the mountains, any coffeehouse, and playing with her nieces! 


Rita M. Burns


Rita is the co-founder of Helping Heroes, she has years of education, convention planning, and fundraising experience. Rita Burns was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio.  Rita has over thirty years in education.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (Family and Consumer Sciences) from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University.  Rita had been a Family and Consumer Sciences' teacher for twenty years and retired as an Assistant Principal.  Along her way, she has earned many awards, including: “Best Personality” from Cooper City High School Faculty to winning Florida Home Economics “Teacher of the Year."  Currently, she is writing a book about her experiences in surviving breast cancer. 

In her spare time, she is a licensed pilot and enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-nieces, and her dog, Willie.
